At the beginning of this year we were approached by Cristal Air and the introduced their product - HRV.

It has now been several months wince we have had the system installed in our home and it is bloody fantastic. Excuse the language but I mean what I say. It is so great not having to wake up to condensation on your windows and so nice to come home to a house that is not stuffy from being shut up all day.

As for the ‘burnt toast’ mode I would like to say that I had never used it but alas with my cooking I have had to, and the stench soon evaporated and didn’t hang around for days like it usually does.

The system was installed by two lovely males who cleaned up after themselves. They were in and out within one hour.

My husband and I would thoroughly recommend this system being installed, in fact they should be standard like the toilet!

As for the running cost, we have had no change in our power bill; in fact it is cheaper as we don’t have the heater running as much as our home is warmer.
