The Drawing Board
A wealth of information all in
one place
This website is the first port of call
for those who want to renovate but don't quite know where to start.
It offers advice and resources to help homeowners through the
often-taxing renovation process and they can keep coming back to it
time and time again as they progress through their
project.
The Drawing Board
caters for all experience levels, from young couples doing up
their first home to seasoned renovators doing their tenth. Visitors
can get product information, design tips - as well as sharing their
own tips and reading about other people's
experiences.

Where renovators used to spend hours
trawling the net, looking for info from many different sources, now
it's all on one website: www.thedrawingboard.co.nz - the one-stop shop
for renovating.
The website comes at a perfect time for
homeowners - there is renewed confidence in the building industry
but most are still proceeding cautiously. The Drawing
Board gives them a free resource to help them get underway and
covers everything from dealing with architects to getting building
consents and code of compliance.
Users will be able to sign up to an
e-newsletter keeping them abreast of new content and products. They
will also be able to fire questions at the experts and submit their
own renovation projects to be featured on The Drawing
Board.
The first video following the featured
couple, Matthew and Rowena, who are renovating their bathroom first
up. The Drawing Board will follow them while they overcome
obstacles and deal with the unexpected - with lots of tips for
renovators along the way. Following shortly afterwards, there will
be a kitchen renovation and a room extension for renovators to sink
their teeth into.
This is a James Hardie initiative but
they're not going it alone and have enlisted the help of several
other industry players. These include Dulux, NRG, HRV, Home Plus,
Smith and Sons and many more.
