At HRV, making a difference in Kiwi communities goes beyond the homes we help every day. It also means getting behind organisations doing important work for local families.
That’s why we were proud to support the Te Omanga Hospice Vintners’ Lunch 2026 in Lower Hutt.
The event proved to be an incredible success, raising a record-breaking $316,727 for Te Omanga Hospice. The result reflects the tremendous support the hospice receives from its community and the impact its team has on patients and families.
Supporting an important local cause
As part of HRV’s support for the event, our Lower North Island team donated a 55-inch Panasonic television to be auctioned alongside other donated products and services. Nigel Searle, HRV Lower North Island Sales Manager, delivered the television to Te Omanga Hospice ahead of the event.
It was a simple way for HRV to contribute to a much bigger community effort and help support the fundraising taking place on the day.
The Vintners’ Lunch 2026 was held on Sunday 18 October 2026 at the Lower Hutt Events Centre, bringing the community together in support of the hospice.
An outstanding result for Te Omanga Hospice
Following the event, Rebecca Routhan, Fundraising and Events Manager at Te Omanga Hospice, confirmed the final fundraising total of $316,727, describing it as a record-breaking result.
It’s an achievement worth celebrating and one made possible by the many people, businesses, supporters and volunteers who got behind the event.
Being part of the communities we serve
HRV teams live and work in communities throughout New Zealand, and we believe there’s real value in supporting the organisations and initiatives that make a difference within them.
We’re proud to have played a small part in this year’s Vintners’ Lunch and congratulate everyone involved in achieving such an outstanding result for Te Omanga Hospice.
