HRV Northland
Northland's warm, humid, sub-tropical climate makes it one of the more forgiving parts of the country to live in, but that same warmth and humidity is exactly what mould and condensation thrive on. Homes here rarely deal with hard frosts, but they deal with high moisture levels almost year-round, from Whangarei's older villas through to baches dotted along the coast towards the Bay of Islands.

Chonny is a born-and-bred Northlander who has been part of the HRV team for 14 years. Her passion lies in helping customers and hearing the wonderful stories about how HRV has improved the health and comfort of their homes.
Having lived in Northland her entire life, Chonny understands the unique needs of local homes and the challenges each season can bring. With her experience and the support of her dedicated team, there’s not much they can’t tackle!

Originally from Germany , Bianca moved to Whangārei 18 years ago with her Kiwi hubby and has been proud to call Northland home ever since.
Bianca started her journey with HRV Northland in the office, but once she discovered what HRV does and the difference it makes to people’s lives, she knew she wanted to get out into the community and spread the word about healthier homes. Today, helping Northlanders tackle damp homes and create healthier living environments is something she is very proud of

Danny joined HRV Northland in 2020, but his journey with HRV started a little closer to home! After having an HRV system installed in his own home and experiencing first-hand the difference it made, Danny was so impressed that the following month he came in asking to be part of the team.
Having experienced the benefits of HRV himself, Danny understands the real difference our products can make. He takes pride in his work, knows that every home and customer has different needs, and makes sure he delivers the best possible solution for each one.

Clearing persistent mould in a Whangarei villa
An older villa in one of Whangarei's established suburbs came to us with mould regularly appearing in wardrobes and the bathroom, despite the owners cleaning it off every few weeks. With limited underfloor ventilation and Northland's high year-round humidity, moisture had nowhere to go once it built up inside the home.
Our team assessed the home and installed an HRV Classic ventilation system, drawing in fresh, filtered air and pushing the humid, stale air back out. Within a few weeks, the mould had stopped returning, giving the family a noticeably fresher, healthier home despite Northland's warm, humid conditions.
